Which of your books should I start with?
My horror world journey started with In Four Days, then the Elude Series and the Evade Series followed. All connected in one form or another. The Eclipse Series, my newest horror novel, also has ties through characters or past events written in the past contents.
The Hidden and The Hidden Within is a collaboration project with my father, T.D. Barton. He has also written a prequel called The Hidden: Tribes!.
My five-book epic fantasy series, Wyvernshield, is all tied to the worlds of Tayneva and Aberrisc. The epic war tale starts with Consequences Within Chaos and ends with Beyond The Barrier. The Flight of the Dirithi novel is currently a stand-alone; however, I hope to extend the story in the near future.
What genres do you enjoy writing in and why?
I explore both horror and epic fantasy genres due to the love of both types of stories. My first book ever was The Hobbit. My first horror novel was the classic, The Shining. Both shaped my style of writing in their own ways.

In your fantasy novels, who is your favorite character?
Again, choosing a favorite cuts very deeply into the author's consciousness. I love several deeply. Letandra for her bravery and the way she always stood up for her brother. Taihven for his honesty, ingenuity, and determination. And Jueneva, who doesn't know the word 'quit' and only chooses to persevere. These are in no ranking, all three are my top favorites.

Do you plot out your books through outlines, or do you write by the seat of your pants?
I am very much a die-hard plotter. Without an outline, I wander the white field of forever on the computer screen, lost and meandering into the void!
Which of your books is your favorite?
Asking an author which is his or her favorite book is like asking a parent to choose their favorite child... but I really enjoy my Elude Series (ssshhh! Don't tell the others!).
